As Craftine Guitars use some of the world’s most precious woods, the designers of the guitars have vowed to be as Eco friendly as possible during production, without compromising any of the sonic qualities required to deliver the very best of performance.
These Eco friendly initiatives include:
- The spruce top is usually coloured with two coats only of black stain before varnish, saving the rejection of those tops with only natural minor blemishes in the grain.
- Craftine will plant an exotic wood tree for every guitar made.
The name Craftine is derived from the ancient Irish mythological character and musician Craftine who is the earliest Irish musician mentioned in Irish folklore and famed in the legend of The King with Donkeys Ears.
The designers of Craftine have recently agreed to place some very special pieces of wood in all models, this initiative is to include Irish Bog Oak, pieces of historical interest particular to Ireland. We will also endeavour to include any piece that a potential user may provide that has personal significance to them.
